Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Together with generous donors, supporters, staff and volunteers, Make-A-Wish delivers hope, strength, and joy to children and their families when they need it most. Since 1984, our chapter has granted more than 9,500 wishes in our Northern California territory, stretching from Monterey County to the Oregon border.
We are seeking to recruit an experience d volunteer with a background in office organization , inventory ordering & reconciliation, and other office related tasks .
Volunteer duties include:
- Working with Make-A-Wish staff to assess needs and plan for reorganization of storage unit, office supply storage, and other office spaces
Inventory & supply ordering needs , and reconciliation
Helping direct equipment reloading after major events (2x/year)
Come onsite at our office 1 - 2 times per week initially (Tuesdays/Wednesdays) to help maintain organization and adjust systems as needed
Assist other departments with organizational and office tasks needs
T iming can be flexible but would take place typically on Tuesdays or Wednesdays during office hours (9am-5pm) . Our office is located in downtown Oakland, easily accessible to BART.
By assisting with this position, you would be helping our entire staff operate more efficiently , and ultimately, helping grant more wishes.
