Position Summary:
The Community Outreach Volunteer plays a vital role in promoting awareness of agency-provided services through direct engagement at community events and public outreach efforts. Volunteers will work closely with agency clinicians and staff to support educational initiatives, provide resources, and help connect community members with appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help set up, staff, and break down event booths and tables.
- Represent the agency at community events, health fairs, and outreach activities.
- Collaborate with clinicians and outreach staff to ensure consistent and informed messaging.
- Share information about available service and programs clearly and confidently.
Requirements:
- Must complete a short agency - provided training course (1-2 hours) to build confidence and ensure accuracy in discussing services.
- Good communciation and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for community service and helping others.
Time Commitment:
- Flexible; typically 2-4 hours per event. Opportunities are available throughout the year based on the outreach calendar.
