We are seeking local volunteers with weekend availability to assist our Rangers in the Visitor Center this Summer. Shifts are from 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm.
This position assists with opening, closing a staffing the Ocmulgee Mounds NHP visitor center which contains over 2,000 artifacts from 12,000 years of human history. The museum contains many exhibits, a 17 minute film, and museum store. The park has 8 miles of trails, 7 Mississippian era mounds and a historic Earth Lodge.
As a Visitor Center Volunteer, you provide orientation, interpretation and answer visitor questions at the main information desk. You would also cover topics regarding the park, local natural and cultural resources, safety precautions, rules and regulations, recreational opportunities, and area services.
