Do you love kids and are athletic or like sports? Do you want to give back to foster children in the Denver metro area? The Light House has a volunteer opportunity to help with our kids movement class. This class is open to all foster, adopted, kinship, and reunited children in the Denver metro area to teach them boxing/yoga techniques to help them regulate their emotions and deal with stress. Boxing also helps with self esteem and gives them a good outlet to express what's inside. Yoga techniques are great for regulation of energy. Foster children deal with a lot of mental health issues and need an outlet to learn that is fun and works for them.

Volunteers are needed to help the kids with various poses, stretches, warm ups, and supervise the kids to keep them involved and having fun. We do have an instructor for this class therefore we are only looking for a volunteer to assist this teacher. No experience necessary, but an active person is a plus! To find out more information about the classes to go thelighthousedenver.org/programs.

Classes are located in Aurora every other Sunday from 1-2:30pm. 45 min of Boxing, 45 min of Yoga Techniques. Volunteers will need to dress appropriately - athletic gear. Boxing and yoga equipment provided.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us at info@thelighthousedenver.org.
