Do you have a passion for art and kids? Do you want to give back to the local foster care community? The Light House has a position open for our art instructor for our Art Expression class and we could use your help! No experience is necessary.

What we are looking for is someone that loves to do art and wants to teach not only how to do art, but how to use the art for theraputic purposes. Art therapy techniques have been proven to help with stress relief, regulate emotions, and allow hard expereinces to be able to come out on paper instead of holding them in. Foster Children experience many mental health issues and art is a great way for them to learn how to deal with what they are going through. You are not required to have any curriculum ready. The Light House will provide instruction if needed and supplies. Class sizes are anywhere from 2-3 to 10 max. Location will be in Aurora and classes are a hour and a half long. Classes are held from 1-2:30pm every other Sunday.
