We are seeking a Medical Credentials Volunteer Mentor to work closely with our medical coding specialist and help guide emerging professionals and students through the process of credentialing, coding standards, compliance, and protocol development. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring, research, and creating systems that bridge traditional and holistic healthcare.

You will play a critical role in helping our center transition into an insurance-compliant operation while educating and guiding future wellness professionals.

• Mentor and guide volunteers, students, or emerging professionals in medical credentialing workflows

• Collaborate directly with our medical coding specialist to streamline credentialing, billing, and insurance onboarding

• Research insurance billing requirements for various provider types (chiropractors, internal medicine, mental health, nutrition, etc.)

• Help draft protocols and processes for credentialing and compliance

• Assist in building documentation, training materials, and support resources

• Offer creative solutions in a resource-limited environment

• Promote holistic, patient-centered care integration into traditional billing systems

• Experience in medical credentialing, medical coding, or healthcare administration

• Passion for mentoring and training others

• Familiarity with CMS guidelines, insurance networks, and healthcare credentialing platforms (e.g., CAQH, PECOS, etc.)

• Strong research skills with the ability to turn complex rules into actionable systems

• Background or passion for holistic/integrative health is a plus

• Comfortable working in a growing environment with limited infrastructure

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
