Volunteer with Service Dogs at the North Beach Festival!

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Institute of Canine Service and Training

Help Share the Love - One Puppy Kiss at a Time!

We’re excited to be a part of the iconic North Beach Festival in San Francisco this June-and we need you to help us make this a fun, heartwarming, and impactful event!

The National Institute of Canine Service and Training (NICST), the organization behind OurDogsSaveLives.org, trains life-saving service dogs that support Type 1 diabetics, first responders, and other individuals with disabilities. This event is a chance to help NICST raise awareness and connect with the community... with the help of some very good dogs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Greet and engage with festival attendees

  • Help run the doggy kissing booth
  • Talk about NICST’s mission and programs

  • Assist with collecting donations and sales of It’s-It Ice Cream Sandwiches

  • Provide lots of love (and maybe a little crowd control) for our amazing service dogs and puppies

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Friendly, outgoing, and dog-loving volunteers

  • Comfortable talking to the public and sharing our mission

  • Able to stand or move around during a 3-hour shift

Volunteer with friends or family!
This is a fun, festival-style event and a great way to give back while enjoying one of SF’s most beloved neighborhood celebrations.
