No golf experience required. Need to be able to stay for entire shift unless otherwise determined by volunteer coordinator.

Come out, have fun, meet new people and help make this another successful tournament.

Mission Statement

Jamaica Youth Education Support is committed to making a difference in the education of children in Jamaica. We will use our resources to better equip Jamaican schools to teach and inspire learning in the students they serve.

Description

We are a Dallas area based 501(c)(3) all volunteer nonprofit, supporting underserved school children in Jamaica since 2004. As of 2023, Jamaica YES fund breakfast programs at 13 schools across Jamaica, impacting hundreds of school children in need. With the breakfast program, it has been shown that school attendance increases, improved attentiveness along with grades and test scores. It is difficult to learn when you’re hungry.

The goal is to be to continue to increase the number of schools and school children we impact by continuing to find ways to raise funds and bringing awareness to the impact Jamaica YES is making.

Our efforts to improve the lives of Jamaican school children have been recognized in several ways including nomination for the Prime Minister's Jamaica Commemorative Medal of Appreciation for service to Jamaica, nomination for the Immigrant Journey Award and articles in the Jamaican national newspapers, Observer and the Gleaner.

Jamaica YES members volunteer their time locally in the DFW area with like-minded nonprofits to support them and to help make an impact locally.
