Go where the youth are. Be a presence. Make a difference.

We’re building a bold and compassionate Youth Outreach Team - volunteers who are willing to meet teens where they’re at: parks, skate parks, basketball courts, malls, school events, and more. If you care about young people and want to be a consistent, positive presence in their world, we want you on our team.

What you'll do:

  • Visit local hangouts where youth naturally gather

  • Hand out free water bottles, resource cards, and fun giveaways

  • Build trust by listening, encouraging, and engaging in real conversation

  • Let teens know about our upcoming events, groups, and support services

  • Refer them to local help when needed (we’ll train you!)

  • Be available for spiritual conversation - but only when teens bring it up

Important safety guidelines:

  • Outreach teams will include both male and female volunteers

  • No volunteer will be left alone with youth at any time

  • All volunteers must pass a background check and complete a brief training

What we’re looking for:

  • Friendly, approachable individuals who genuinely care about youth

  • Reliable, mature team players who can engage without judgment or pressure

  • Willingness to go into public spaces and interact respectfully with teens

  • Comfortable representing our organization and inviting youth to connect

Why join the team?

  • Be part of a movement that meets youth where they are

  • Make real, face-to-face impact - no experience required

  • Flexible hours, always working in pairs or teams

  • Training, mentorship, and spiritual support provided

  • Great for those with a heart for ministry, mentoring, or community service

This is grassroots, relational outreach - the kind that changes lives one conversation at a time. If you’ve ever wanted to be there for teens who feel unseen, this is your chance. Let’s go.

Mission Statement

To provide Help and Hope without Judgement. We seek to create a haven where every person is loved, accepted, and valued. We seek to be a holistic refuge for learning, growth, healing, and recovery--meeting social, emotional, and spiritual needs. Everyone will be invited to find rest, hope, and restoration through the love of Christ

Description

Youth Haven Ministries is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit that’s been serving youth and families since 2017-first in Florida, then South Carolina, and now in West Virginia. We exist to create safe, welcoming spaces for teens who feel overlooked, anxious, or alone. We do this in the name of Jesus, following His example of unconditional love letting our actions speak louder than words. There’s no pressure and no judgment.
You don’t have to be religious. Our programs are open to everyone-no matter your background, beliefs, identity, or lifestyle. No pressure. No strings attached.
From free game nights and "Real Talk" hangouts to concerts and community picnics, we build spaces where teens feel at home. In 2019, our Florida teen center grew from 2 to over 60 teens, simply because they knew they were cared for. In South Carolina, we serve youth and families in crisis with dignity and compassion. And now, we’re bringing that same heart to West Virginia.
