We’re a growing nonprofit youth ministry seeking a volunteer accountant or bookkeeper to help us stay organized and accountable as we serve the community. This is a great opportunity to use your expertise for good - and gain meaningful nonprofit experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with bookkeeping and financial record-keeping

  • Help prepare basic reports for board meetings and grant applications

  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial practices

  • Provide general guidance on budgeting and financial systems

  • Optional: Help us prepare or review our annual Form 990-EZ

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, Wave, or similar tools (or willing to learn)

  • Passion for helping youth and giving back to the community

  • Able to give a few hours a month - schedule is flexible and mostly remote

Description

Youth Haven Ministries is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit that’s been serving youth and families since 2017-first in Florida, then South Carolina, and now in West Virginia. We exist to create safe, welcoming spaces for teens who feel overlooked, anxious, or alone. We do this in the name of Jesus, following His example of unconditional love letting our actions speak louder than words. There’s no pressure and no judgment.
You don’t have to be religious. Our programs are open to everyone-no matter your background, beliefs, identity, or lifestyle. No pressure. No strings attached.
From free game nights and "Real Talk" hangouts to concerts and community picnics, we build spaces where teens feel at home. In 2019, our Florida teen center grew from 2 to over 60 teens, simply because they knew they were cared for. In South Carolina, we serve youth and families in crisis with dignity and compassion. And now, we’re bringing that same heart to West Virginia.
