Role Description

The Instructional Graphic Designer is responsible for designing visually engaging instructional materials. This position blends graphic design, instructional design, and user experience principles to create effective IDEA learning resources for the Location-Based Experience industry.

Anticipated commitment is 3-5 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Develop visually compelling instructional graphics, infographics, e-learning modules, presentations, and print materials.
  • In collaboration with IDEA Learning Specialists and other Education team members, translate complex information into clear, engaging visuals.
  • Ensure all learning materials align with Big Break’s branding and accessibility guidelines.
  • Adapt designs for various formats, including websites, mobile devices, print materials, and social media.
  • Stay up to date with merging instructional design trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Experience in instructional or graphic design, preferably in a nonprofit, educational, or social impact setting.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and learner engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with video editing and multimedia tools (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or similar).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for promoting inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in the Location-Based Experience industry.

This is a professional volunteer position with an anticipated commitment of 3-5 hours per week. As an Instructional Graphic Designer, you will play an essential role in supporting Big Break Foundation's mission.
