Caring callers for tuck-In calls
ORGANIZATION: Traditions Health
Please visit the new page to apply.
Caring caller is a volunteer that fills a crucial need in helping to identify patient and family needs prior to going into the weekend period. Caring callers place calls to patient homes to ensure that supplies (e.g., adult diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, etc.) are sufficient to get the patient and family through the weekend, allows the staff to be available for more pressing needs that may arise during the weekend.
Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday calls help avoid placing undue stress on the family and care team members because it allows time for planning and for a patient’s needs to be met by staff during Friday’s schedule, if possible. Working in a healthcare setting, there is strict adherence to confidentialities/HIPAA. Ongoing training is provided.
