Meals on Wheels Anderson is in need of volunteer drivers for the Piedmont, Wren, Pelzer and Powdersville area.
As a volunteer driver, you will have a list of homebound clients to deliver meals to each day. Typically, routes have 10-20 clients, depending upon the area of delivery. Routes in this area of our county take approximately 2-3 hour to complete. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a weekly or bi-weekly route schedule.
We are in the early stages of creating new routes in this area! Mainly to decrease delivery time for our volunteers, as well as add clients into our program. This can only happen if we have volunteers come forward to help us!

Our mission is that no disabled or elderly home bound individual in Anderson County goes hungry. We deliver nutritious meals to those individuals in need and help build community awareness and support.
Description
Meals on Wheels delivers over 400 meals a day to elderly or disabled Anderson County residents. Individuals who rely on the community for nutritional support because they are home bound and unable to prepare a meal for themselves.
