Afraid of long-term committment, but love cats? Then help us foster a cat for 1-3 months. We can also use help for short-term temporary fosters. We are now into 'kitten season', and we have a great need for kitten fosters. Maine Coon Rescue Alliance reimburses all medical care; foster parents provide food, litter, toys, and plenty of TLC. Foster parents play an active role in the application screening and selection of adoptive families. Training is provided and help available 24/7. All cat are negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV, and are neutered or spayed. Maine Coons are know as the 'gentle giants', and usually get along with everyone - kids, dogs, cats.

Maine Coon Rescue Alliance is a non-profit organization staffed solely by volunteers who rescue, foster, and place Maine Coons and Maine Coon mixes in carefully screened homes. Most of our rescues are from kill shelters and owner surrenders.
