Join Farms to Grow, Inc and Sherman Produce Market as a volunteer at the "2nd Annual Central Valley Watermelon Tasting" on Saturday, July 19th 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. If you are looking for a way to make an impact, this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.

Sherman Produce Market, a Black Owned multi-generational business, has been providing fresh non-GMO, pesticide free produce to the local and regional communities since the 1950's. We are home grown in the soil of Fresno and excited to present attendees with the opportunity to experience fourteen different varieties of seeded and seedless red and yellow watermelons, cantaloupe and honeydew! This event is a great opportunity for customer service experience! Volunteer positions include:
  • Event set up/breakdown
  • Entertainment set up/breakdown
  • Vendor registration & coordination
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Attendee coordination
  • Kidzone (family fun play area)
  • Security & parking attendants
  • Watermelon Tasting team

The volunteer day is schedule for 6:30am - 5:30pm. Once signed up to volunteer, shift & volunteer station will be assigned by the event production team based on need and skill. If you have experience in a high needs skill, please let us know!

Our aim is to increase the capacity of underserved farmers to keep their farm operations and establish farming as a viable career for future generations.

Underserved farmers may include Native American, Hispanic, other minority groups, women, the physically challenged and limited access organic farmers.
