- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Since its unveiling on Veterans Day in 1996, The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., has traveled to nearly 800 communities across the United States, bringing the memorial’s healing legacy to millions. This traveling exhibit, including a mobile Education Center, allows veterans and their families to experience the memorial’s comfort and peace within their own communities, aiding the healing process for many who have struggled with confronting painful memories.
Volunteers are a crucial part of The Wall That Heals experience for visitors that will travel to our community to see it. Our goal is for each visitor to come away with an exceptional overall experience and an understanding of the Vietnam War and its impact on the men and women who served, along with the impact to their families, friends and our country.
Please join us in welcoming The Wall That Heals to our community from July 22 - July 27 by volunteering to honor all who have served. Onsite volunteers act as ambassadors for our community and provide a friendly face to ensure that visitors to The Wall That Heals feel welcome. The Wall That Heals is open 24-hours a day for the duration of the display period.
We offer 4 hour shifts per 24-hour period to choose from. Feel free to sign-up for more than one shift and/or for multiple days. Standing and walking will be required in most areas. More detailed information is included during registration. Volunteer registrants receive a commemorative t-shirt.
Our volunteer orientation/training will take place on Wednesday, July 23 at 6 pm at the Mobile Education Center. Attendance is strongly encouraged.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED AROUND THE CLOCKAND REGARDLESS OF WEATHER CONDITIONS.
