Love gardening, food systems, and educating others? Help us plant seeds of knowledge! Roots for Life is looking for a green-thumbed volunteer to support our educational events and help us create engaging, garden-themed video content to inspire youth and adults.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with gardening or food-growing activities
  • Participate in or help facilitate workshops on agriculture, sustainability, or wellness
  • Co-create short, educational videos on topics like topics like planting, composting, and growing your own food

What We're Looking For:

  • Passion for gardening, agriculture, or sustainable living
  • Interest in teaching or making educational content
  • Comfortable working in an outdoor, hands-on environment
  • Video editing or social media skills (a plus but not required)

Description

Our approach to filling vital needs in the community is multi-faceted-(1) to connect individuals, currently in food insecure areas, to locally grown fruits and vegetables, (2) to educate on their nutritional value, and (3) to empower a healthy change into their lives. Roots for Life’s programs work in conjunction with a comprehensive educational component that is designed to deepen the connectivity by providing tips and techniques towards healthy living.
