About Us:
The STEAM Generation(TSG) is a nonprofit organization based in Mableton, Georgia that provides innovative, out-of-school time STEAM programs and outreach to Pre-K through 12th grade students. Our primary goal is to increase access to STEAM education, particularly for underrepresented communities such as low-income families, communities of color, and girls. TSG serves over 450 children per year.

Our aim is to expand our reach and impact in underserved communities in Georgia, providing students with the tools and resources they need to succeed in STEAM fields.

Role Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer School Outreach Coordinator to help us expand our reach across Georgia. This role is essential to connecting our programs with schools that need them most. In this role, you will support building relationships with school administrators and educators and manage workshop scheduling coordination.

Responsibilities:

· Along with the Director of Programs, conduct outreach to K-12 schools across Georgia, with a focus on underserved communities

· Support scheduling and coordination of on-campus STEAM workshops with school contacts

· Track communications and schedule details using shared project management tools

· Maintain up-to-date records of contacts, schedules, and follow-up needs

Required:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Prior volunteer, work, internship experience

· Located in Atlanta metro area

· Strong time management and organizational skills

· Strong project management ability (volunteer or professional)

· Comfortable working independently and proactively

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

· Knowledge of Georgia’s education system, especially Title I or underserved schools, a big plus

· Passionate about STEM education equity

· Comfortable using Google suite of tools and Slack

Description

The STEAM Generation brings science, technology, engineering, Art, and math (STEAM), to kids ages 4 to 14 in a fun and challenging way through classes, camps, clubs, and workshops. We are proud to inspire children to build on their natural curiosity by teaching STEAM concepts through hands-on learning.
