Summary of Position:
SSM V isiting N urse A ssociation (VNA) is a not-for-profit healthcare organization , that has been p rovi di ng services to our St. Louis community for over 1 1 0 years . During the fall, VNA provides approximately 20,000 flu vaccinations to help protect our community.
VNA is looking for volunteer nurses to help administer flu vaccination s for the 202 5 flu season . Clinics will begin i n September and end in early December .
Responsibilities & Duties:
Volunteer nurses should be organized, detail oriented, and have good customer service skills to deal with the public .
Must be able to complete insurance paperwork. Accuracy is important.
Volunteer nurses travel to locations in the Greater St. Louis area because VNA p rovides vaccinations at schools , churches, nursing homes, organizations and corporations.
We are flexible to the individual’s schedule.
Qualifications:
Volunteer nurses should have an active Missouri RN License.
Experience in administering immunizations is a plus.
Volunteer nurse s must be able to travel to locations in the Greater St. Louis area because VNA provides vaccinations at schools, churches, nursing homes, community events, organizations and corporations .
TB test results, up-to-date COVID and flu vaccinations ( recommended ) , and CPR certifie d.

Description
VNA is a non profit organization and a member of the United Way with a certified volunteer program. Visiting Nurse Association seeks to improve the quality of life for those patients with a life limiting illness for whom the goal is comfort rather than cure thru their hospice division. VNA also provides palliative care -Advanced Illness Management to patients with difficulty leaving home due to serious chronic illness. VNA also provides Care at home through private duty services-VNA CAre at Home.
