ORGANIZATION: Agate Housing and Services

The Stewardship Assocate Volunteer will support the fundraising department at Agate. This person will play a key role in thanking those who support us through their time, talent, and treasure. This role has the opportunity to help develop appreciation strategy as part of a larger fundraising strategy or can simply serve as a "doer" on the team. This depends on time availability and interest. The role will report to the External Relations Operations Coordinator and work with the Vice President of External Relations.

Agate’s work is largely based on government contracts to fulfill community priorities such as operating shelter and providing assistance to those who are at risk of losing their homes. That said, our programs "earn" on average only $0.75 of each $1.00 needed to operate. Charitable giving from the community makes up the rest. The fundraising team is crucial to Agate’s operations - and it’s our donors who ensure we can do our work to fight homelessness. This role will ensure donors get the appreciation they deserve for their support. And have regular avenues to get additional information they may want to have about the impact of their gifts.

Join us to end homelessness through action and advocacy! At Agate, we know that the path to homelessness is not a choice - it’s a challenge. When someone asks for help, they’re not just receiving shelter or housing. They’re entering a safe and supportive community where we work side-by-side for the change they need to stabilize their lives and rediscover their strength.
