Do you enjoy working with older adults? Are you interested in legislative issues affecting older adults in our communities?
If this sounds like you, please consider getting involved with Aging Care Connections! We are seeking volunteers to work with our Congregate Meal Program at La Bella Events in Countryside, IL. This program serves nutritious, restaurant-prepared lunch to older adults and their caregivers. In addition to a budget-friendly meal, social activities like bingo, crafts, and board games are included.
Position Description:
Volunteers are needed to post information in the community on resources and legislative issues, participate in letter writing or story telling campaigns, attend a brief online training session and then conduct group "brain" exercises.
Schedule:
We are currently seeking volunteers to help one or more days each week on a weekly/daily schedule. Hours of operation are 11:00AM - 1:30PM.
