Position Overview: Creshendo is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering displaced populations through advocacy, community-driven education, and cultural preservation. One of our most impactful initiatives, the Storytelling Project, brings refugee voices to life through animated narratives, helping reshape public perceptions and inspire empathy and action worldwide.
We’re looking for a Project Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of this transformative initiative. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about human-centered storytelling, this role offers a unique opportunity to support refugee-led narratives that truly make a difference.
Role OverviewAs the Project Assistant for the Storytelling Project, you will work closely with the lead producers, interns, and animation team to ensure smooth coordination across timelines, contributors, and content deliverables. Your role will be essential in keeping the project organized, managing communications, and tracking progress so the powerful stories of refugees can be shared effectively with the world.
This is an ideal role for someone with strong project coordination skills, excellent communication, and a deep respect for storytelling and social justice.
Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Support day-to-day operations of the Storytelling Project, keeping track of timelines, deliverables, and key milestones.
- Team Support: Assist with coordinating meetings, managing communication between interns, creatives, and leadership, and ensuring all team members are aligned.
- Administrative Tasks: Organize digital files, update project documents, track content submissions, and help maintain version control.
- Research Support: Help identify platforms for content distribution, new partnership opportunities, or storytelling trends relevant to refugee voices.
- Creative Logistics: Support the animation team by collecting transcripts, organizing interview footage, and logging story notes.
Qualifications:
- Experience in project coordination, program assistance, or team operations (nonprofit or creative field preferred).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in remote and cross-cultural environments.
- Passion for refugee rights, digital storytelling, or media for social change.
- Availability to dedicate at least 5-8 hours per week.
