Aging Care Connections runs a congregate meals program for older adults at La Bella Events in Countryside, IL. We need volunteers to assist with meal preparation. We are looking for volunteers who are reliable and able to commit to a weekly schedule. This volunteer position is ideal for someone who likes working with older adults.

Under the supervision of the Nutrition Site Coordinator, duties include:

• Prepping food and coffee
• Serving meals to participants
• Working the steam table
• Setting up tables
• Cleaning up, including washing water pitchers and carafes

Qualifications:

• Be able to work on their feet for up to an hour and move between tables
• Be able to lift and carry pitchers, trays, and other items
• Enjoy working with older adults

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 11AM-1:30PM
• Volunteers must be able to commit at least 2-3 days per week and be able to commit to a weekly schedule.
