About PRIVATE SCHOOL AXIS

Location:

4238 SAWTELLE BLVD, LOS ANGELES, CA 90066, US

Mission Statement

Axis partners with Los Angeles area independent schools to create pathways for underrepresented students and families of color to access, navigate, and thrive in private education.

Description

We envision diverse private school communities that ensure equal opportunity for all students and educators in Los Angeles. Research concludes that diverse learning populations lead to better outcomes for all students. By supporting more students and educators of color to access private school opportunities, we improve learning for all and take strides toward a more equitable society as a whole.

Not only do we equip students and educators with the tools they need to join independent schools, we also work to ensure that the schools themselves employ best policies and practices through our Social Responsibility Certification. Only then can schools authentically address the needs of students of color while creating an environment where all students can thrive.
