The Niles Foundation is seeking passionate, community-minded volunteers to support our Climate, Food & Clean Tech Pop-Up--a dynamic event focused on sustainability, food justice, and clean technology innovation.
Why: By volunteering at the Climate, Food & Clean Tech Pop-Up, you'll help empower frontline communities and emerging leaders working to solve critical issues like food insecurity, clean mobility, and climate justice. Your support directly contributes to scalable, sustainable change and uplifts underrepresented entrepreneurs driving innovation for a healthier, more equitable future.
Who: The Niles Foundation Los Angeles is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was founded to promote and increase equity and equality by organizing local community, supporting sustainable projects, and empowering our citizens who are low-income, underserved, underrepresented and at-risk.
What to Expect:
Event Setup & Breakdown: Help with tents, tables, signage, and materials.
Guest Engagement: Greet attendees, guide them through exhibits, and share information about our mission.
Vendor & Partner Support: Assist local food, climate, and tech partners with logistics and coordination.
Sustainability Ambassadors: Promote eco-friendly practices like recycling, composting, and zero-waste initiatives.
Event Activities: Support interactive stations, expert panels, storytelling, and community innovative hack.
What's Required:
Volunteers must be 18 years or older
Must be available for a minimum 4-hour shift on the event day (June 12, 2025)
Must attend a brief virtual or in-person orientation before the event with our team.
Comfortable with standing, walking, or light lifting (for setup/breakdown roles)
Accommodations can be made--please let us know in advance
Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
Closed-toe shoes required; branded t-shirts or badges will be provided if available
Have a clean, neat, and tidy appearance with good hygiene.
We will provide shirts or buttons on the day of the event.

Description
We are always in need of great volunteers to help us with our events, programs, outreach, classes, and workshops. We keep it fun and we also train! No experience needed, just willing hearts. We are also always in need of donations.
