NHQ Mobile Game Designer

ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - National Headquarters

We're looking for an imaginative and technically-savvy Mobile Game Designer to create short-form, mobile-first games that help people learn, reflect, and act - on the go.

Responsibilities will include designing and prototype microgames, interactive simulations, and branching scenarios optimized for mobile delivery, translate learning objectives and field realities into dynamic, simple game experiences, develop wireframes, storyboards, and logic trees to guide builds, partner with developers or low-code/no-code tools to bring games to life quickly and iteratively, test and refine games with real users, collecting feedback to improve accessibility, engagement, and clarity.

This role is 5-10 hours per week and qualifications include 3+ years experience in mobile game design, UX/game writing, or interactive learning development, ability to design simple, compelling gameplay loops that reinforce concepts or behaviors, familiarity with authoring tools (e.g., Twine, Unity, Construct, GDevelop, Ink, or similar), submission of a resume, and willingness to comply with current public health and American Red Cross policies.
