Career Coaching and Mentorship
ORGANIZATION: Homeless Children's Education Fund
Please visit the new page to apply.
Through HCEF's Teen CEO program, teens/young adults have a paid work
experience in businesses across the Greater Pittsburgh region throughout the summer.
With the support of HCEF staff, our volunteers serve as mentors to our students by
providing professional and workforce development support for one 3-hour day per
week for 8 weeks.
We are looking for volunteers to not only help students with resumes, cover letters,
and interview skills, but also for our volunteers to connect with and build relationships
with the students. We are looking for dedicated individuals to help students with
creating and executing their long-term goals. Volunteers who serve as our 'mentor’
volunteers would need to be available for one day a week for programming over the
summer.
To serve in this role, volunteers will need their PA Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprinting, and
PA State Criminal Clearances. We also require our volunteers to attend an in-office
training before being able to start.
