We are seeking attorneys (including active, inactive, retired, and out-of-state attorneys) to provide pro bono legal services to clients in need. PBN has many different projects designed to ensure that volunteers will have the opportunity to choose cases that fit their schedule and interests. Volunteer attorneys receive malpractice insurance through PBN’s partnering legal agencies, and comprehensive training is provided for every project-ensuring that attorneys are fully prepared, regardless of their prior experience in the specific practice area. Volunteer attorneys have the opportunity to be paired with a more experienced attorney for each new project, offering ongoing mentorship and support throughout their pro bono work.
As A Volunteer Attorney, You'll Be Able To:
Represent clients in civil legal matters (housing, family law, immigration, guardianship, etc.).
Provide limited-scope or full representation depending on the case.
Offer legal advice and counsel through clinics or virtual consultations.
Assist with document preparation and filings.
Attend court hearings.
Mentor newer attorneys (for more experienced legal professionals).
Requirements:
Strong commitment to providing equal access to justice
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Willingness to handle pro bono cases or provide limited legal services

Mission Statement
Pro Bono Network is committed to improving the lives of low-income residents by increasing access to legal representation. With more than 90 percent of low-income Americans’ civil legal needs going unmet annually, the legal aid community faces enormous demand for its services. Pro Bono Network connects volunteer attorneys with workable pro bono opportunities that make an impact.
Description
Pro Bono Network connects volunteer attorneys with clients in need of free legal help, especially in underserved communities. Since 2011, we’ve expanded access to justice by offering meaningful, manageable pro bono opportunities and critical legal services to those who cannot afford representation.
We welcome attorneys at all stages of their careers-including retired, inactive, and out-of-state attorneys. Our opportunities range from individual cases to legal clinics and cover areas like elder law, family law, immigration, and more. Many of our programs are remote and flexible, making it easy to volunteer regardless of location or schedule.
Volunteers receive malpractice insurance through our partner legal aid agencies and have access to training, resources, and the option to be paired with a more experienced attorney for mentorship and collaboration. Whether you can give a few hours or want to get more involved, PBN supports you in making a real impact through pro bono service.
