All volunteers will meet at the Adopt-A-Block (AAB) in Hernando. You will be notified via email of the site address in Hernando prior to the event.
The goal of the AAB is to build relationships and the key to success is consistency. When AAB launches at a specific location, it is a promise to the community that we will be here to serve you for years to come. Your commitment to the community will speak louder than anything else. Meeting the immediate needs of the community is the fastest way to build relationships and gain influence to speak into someone potential. Immediate needs of the community may include: food, clothing, activities for children, painting graffiti and picking up trash.

Mission Statement
The DeSoto County Dream Center spreads Christ’s love and builds hope to the underserved in our community by providing food, clothing, quality healthcare and educational assistance to Title 1 school students and their families. The vision of the Dream Center is to help the underserved of DeSoto County to Dream Again.
Description
The Dream Center provides food, clothing, healthcare and education assistance to the Title 1 school children and their families in DeSoto County MS. Trinity Health Center inspires hope and healing by providing quality healthcare for the working uninsured in DeSoto County. The Dream Center ministers locally to underserved areas through the Adopt-A-Block program. This outreach allows immediate needs to be met on a consistent basis leading to valuable relationships and a brighter future for DeSoto County. The food and clothing pillars of the Dream Center are implemented through the various programs and events including our emergency food and clothing closets, our yearly coat giveaway, backpack giveaway, Thanksgiving meal distribution and Winter Wonderland. We offer two programs for Title 1 students in DeSoto County. the Elementary Program provides reading and math enrichment through game based activities and homework assistance. The Leadership Program seeks to develop the leadership ability of the next generation in order to make a positive impact in their community.
