WinWinLabs, an education-first non-profit, is looking for a volunteer Moodle LMS Web Developer to help us empower the next generation of talent in the American economy. We believe that the best ideas, with the best execution, can make the world a better place.

About WinWinLabs

At WinWinLabs, we run gamified product development competitions where startup teams bring a product to market. These teams are made up of professionals from various fields who unite around a mission to solve a problem. They go through an intensive five-week sprint cycle, including researching, ideating, product designing and developing, iterating, and finally presenting their Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and pitch decks to industry judges, company recruiters, and hiring managers.

The success of our program helps us:

  • Bring out the best in our committed members, providing them with an experience of a lifetime.

  • Showcase our organization’s talent to prospective employers, attracting employment opportunities.

  • Make the world a better place by solving problems, one at a time.

  • Strengthen the American economy with top talent and innovation.

We believe that through relentless commitment and unwavering belief, every action, no matter how small, can spark something greater. Every action counts, and together, we're making the world a better place.

Your Role as a Volunteer Moodle LMS Web Developer:

We're specifically seeking a skilled Moodle LMS Web Developer to provide invaluable assistance in the following key areas:

  • Moodle Platform Development & Customization: Assist in the development, customization, and maintenance of our Moodle learning management system. This includes modifying existing functionalities, developing custom features, and ensuring optimal performance.

  • Plugin & Theme Management: Research, install, configure, and manage Moodle plugins (both open-source and custom-developed) to enhance the platform's capabilities. Help customize and optimize Moodle themes to align with our branding and improve user experience.

  • Course Development Support: Work closely with our program team to implement and optimize Moodle features that support the delivery of our gamified product development competitions, including activity setup, grading configurations, and user enrollment flows.

  • Integration & API Management: Support the integration of Moodle with other external tools and services, potentially including API development or configuration to streamline data flow and enhance functionality.

  • Troubleshooting & System Maintenance: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues within the Moodle environment. Assist with system updates, backups, and security measures to ensure a stable and reliable learning platform.

Why Volunteer with WinWinLabs?
