Head Coach for Girls On The Run Site

We are looking for a volunteer head coach who would work within the Girls On The Run (GOTR) guidelines to run a site at our school. We hosted a team last year and found the material and activities to be very valuable to our students. The right person would be:

• Enthusiastic and positivite, even when confronted with challenges
• Capable of participating in virtual training (at your own scheduling) for a very specific curriculum
• Capable of coordinating schedules for other volunteers and student participants
• Independently motiviated to seek out information where needed
• Share an open, accepting, and growth mindset with students, staff, and parents
• Capable of following and teaching the lesson plans outlined through GOTR to help students learn and grow
• Inspired to add your own variety of fun and motivation to the lessons presented
• Committed enough to prepare thoroughly for lessons and practices, and organize other staff's roles
• Confident with guiding kids toward their own leadership roles
• Communicative with GOTR, our school's site liaison, school staff, other volunteers, and families
• Available for fall season--practices 2 days per week (ideally right after school), training before the season, occasional parent meetings, and one 5k event at the end of the season
