Organization: Miracle Youth Productions (MYP)
Location: Remote or San Diego, CA (Hybrid options available)
Commitment: Project-based, flexible hours

Description:
Miracle Youth Productions (MYP), a youth-led nonprofit that provides hands-on education in theater and video production, is seeking a Technology Mentor / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support student teams in managing and building the technology backbone of our creative work.

You won’t be doing the technical work yourself-you’ll be mentoring students who will lead the development and implementation. This includes web development, media collaboration using Blackmagic Design Cloud with DaVinci Resolve, and designing a digital system for organizing and archiving video assets post-production.

What You’ll Do:

  • Mentor students in the ongoing development and maintenance of MYP’s website.

  • Guide student editors and media managers in using DaVinci Resolve with Blackmagic Cloud for collaborative post-production.

  • Help design a student-run system for archiving, retrieving, and managing media files, including both working files and final deliverables.

  • Recommend best practices and tools for version control, file organization, and secure cloud storage.

Why Volunteer With Us?

  • Mentor Future Tech Leaders: Work side-by-side with students eager to learn real-world media and technology systems.

  • Contribute to Scalable Infrastructure: Help build a tech foundation that can grow with the organization.

  • Expand Your Network: Collaborate with professionals from education, creative arts, business, and nonprofit sectors.

  • Flexible & Fulfilling: Use your tech skills to make a meaningful difference with flexible hours and high impact.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in web development (WordPress or similar), video production workflows, and/or media asset management.

  • Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, Blackmagic Cloud, and cloud storage solutions.

  • Passionate about mentoring and helping youth learn through hands-on experience.

  • Strong communicator, collaborator, and problem solver.

Background Check Notice:
All volunteers working directly with students must pass a background check in compliance with California’s AB506 requirements, to ensure a safe and supportive environment for youth.

Join us and help shape the technical side of creative education-while empowering the next generation of media professionals.

Mission Statement

Miracle Youth Productions (MYP) empowers youth through hands-on education in theater, film, and digital media. By managing real projects in production, marketing, technology, and business, students gain practical experience, build professional skills, and develop confidence as leaders, creators, and collaborators. Our mission is to prepare the next generation for success by combining creativity with applied learning in a supportive, youth-driven environment.

Description

Miracle Youth Productions (MYP) is a youth-led nonprofit organization that provides hands-on, real-world learning experiences through theater, film, and media production. High school and college-aged students take the lead in all aspects of our work-from directing plays and producing videos to managing marketing, technology, business operations, and community outreach.

We believe that applied education-learning by doing-is one of the most effective ways to prepare young people for their future careers and personal growth. MYP gives students the opportunity to collaborate with professionals, businesses, and nonprofit partners on meaningful projects that build confidence, creativity, and leadership.

By empowering students to take ownership of real productions and initiatives, MYP helps bridge the gap between education and experience-preparing the next generation to lead with purpose, skill, and heart.
