HELP OUT: Escondido Hidden Farmers Market

Devoted to Youth hosts the Escondido Hidden Farmers Market on Sundays from 7:30am - 2:00pm. The proceeds of the market go toward charities that support families and children, as well as food/donation drives. Devoted to Youth needs volunteers to run the market as smoothly as possible.

Volunteers are needed to help with setting up, tearing down, cooking at a food booth, supervising the kids area, and staffing the info booth.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Attire: Wear comfortable clothing. Wearing sun protection such as a hat and sunscreen is recommended. Please bring a black t-shirt in case you help in their food booth. This opportunity takes place outdoors with plenty of shade.

Bring: Backpack to store your personal items.

Physical Requirements: Volunteers may lift 40 lbs or more. Being able to lift up to 40 lbs is not required to participate. This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations by providing seating and sedentary tasks such as taking food orders, staffing the info booth, or supervising the kids area to ensure the children's safety. The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.

Waiver: Volunteers will be required to sign a waiver for Devoted to Youth when they arrive on site.

Weather: This event takes place rain or shine. It is only canceled in the event of especially inclement conditions.
