Bereavement Volunteer
Are you compassionate, empathetic, and ready to make a difference in the lives of those navigating grief? Join our Amedisys Hospice-Nashville team as a Bereavement Volunteer and help provide comfort and support to individuals who are going through difficult times.
Role: Bereavement Volunteer
Location: Remote/ Virtual
Commitment: Flexible
Training Provided: Yes
What You'll Do:
- Offer a listening ear and emotional support to individuals who are grieving
- Provide practical information and resources on grief and loss
- Attend training sessions and ongoing support meetings to enhance your skills
- Help create a safe, compassionate space for those experiencing loss
What We're Looking For:
- Strong listening and communication skills
- A non-judgmental, empathetic approach
- Ability to be patient and sensitive to the needs of others
- Prior experience in caregiving or counseling is a plus, but not required

Description
As a community-based agency, Amedisys Hospice is committed to providing proper care of the dying patient and their family, as well as education for the community regarding Hospice. Hospice Care is provided to any patient regardless of ability to pay. Our Volunteer Program assists patients and families with social and emotional support.
