Seattle International Dance Festival has multiple volunteer opportunities available during their performances between June 7th-15th in Capitol Hill in Seattle. All volunteers receive free entry to the performance they are supporting as well as our undying appreciation! No experience needed!
Specific volunteer positions include:
- Ushers: Assist audience members that need help finding their seats.
- Box Office Assistants: Check in ticket holders at the door, before the performance.
- Concessions Attendant: Staff the concession stand before the show and during intermission.
- Ad Hoc Support: Fill in where most needed before the show!

Mission Statement
Khambatta Dance Company’s (KDC) mission is to connect artists and audiences through the exploration of contemporary issues, emotionally resonant performances, and a collaborative process of dance creation, reaching out to the community in an inclusive manner. Through its signature program, the Seattle International Dance Festival (SIDF), the Company seeks to unify communities annually showcasing the work of over 150 local, regional and international dance artists and over 40 dance groups who exemplify the diversity of contemporary dance practices and the richness of human experience.
Description
KDC was incorporated in New York in 1993 and moved to Seattle in 2001. Since then, its programming has reached over 85,000 people including works ranging from site-specific pieces to staged, full-length multidisciplinary productions, to commissions for government functions and other events. During this time, it has focused on making its work accessible to a wider audience through free, outdoor performances supported by local businesses and community organizations, presenting to a Seattle audience of 5,000 annually.
