The Diabetes Foundation is partnering with the Essex County Department of Health to host a Diabetes Bootcamp in Irvington, and we need your help!

We are seeking volunteers to:

  • Distribute informative materials about the Diabetes Foundation

  • Assist participants with completing intake forms

  • Help guide attendees throughout the event

This is a valuable community event that supports public health by offering a range of free diabetes screenings and education, including A1C, blood pressure, and more.

Many attendees will speak Haitian Creole, so volunteers who are fluent in the language are especially encouraged to participate to help translate!

DF serves people living with Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes within the state of New Jersey. Our support services provide children and adults with necessary resources to help navigate this chronic disease which is impacting 1 in 12 people in our state.
