As a Clerical Hospice Volunteer, you will provide essential behind-the-scenes support to hospice staff by assisting with a variety of administrative and office tasks. Your contributions help ensure smooth operations, allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with filing, mailings, photocopying, and organizing documents.

  • Answer phones and take messages as needed.

  • Help maintain an organized and welcoming office environment.

  • Support special projects such as event preparation, newsletters, or volunteer coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.

  • Comfortable using basic office equipment (copiers, phones, computers, etc.).

  • Willingness to complete basic hospice volunteer training.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commitment:

  • Flexible scheduling during office hours (typically Monday-Friday).

  • Minimum of 2-4 hours per week preferred.

  • A 6-month minimum commitment is appreciated.

Impact:
Your administrative support helps our hospice team stay efficient and focused, ensuring patients and families receive timely, compassionate care. While not patient-facing, your work is vital to the mission of hospice.
