As a Clerical Hospice Volunteer, you will provide essential behind-the-scenes support to hospice staff by assisting with a variety of administrative and office tasks. Your contributions help ensure smooth operations, allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with filing, mailings, photocopying, and organizing documents.
Answer phones and take messages as needed.
Help maintain an organized and welcoming office environment.
Support special projects such as event preparation, newsletters, or volunteer coordination.
Qualifications:
Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
Comfortable using basic office equipment (copiers, phones, computers, etc.).
Willingness to complete basic hospice volunteer training.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment:
Flexible scheduling during office hours (typically Monday-Friday).
Minimum of 2-4 hours per week preferred.
A 6-month minimum commitment is appreciated.
Impact:
Your administrative support helps our hospice team stay efficient and focused, ensuring patients and families receive timely, compassionate care. While not patient-facing, your work is vital to the mission of hospice.
