As a Storage Organization Support Volunteer, you will play an essential role in ensuring that storage areas are well-organized, clean, and safe, allowing shelter supplies to be easily accessed and distributed effectively.

Main Responsabilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, ensuring items are stored safely and are easily accessible for future use or distribution.
• Inspect donations for cleanliness, damage, or safety concerns.
• Sort items into categories (e.g., clothing, cleaning products, toiletries, bedding, etc.).
• Regularly tidy and organize both storage rooms to ensure they remain neat and functional .
• Help move large or heavy boxes and items to the appropriate locations for sorting or storage.
• Monitor stock levels of items and promptly notify staff when supplies are running low, helping ensure that we can restock before shortages occur.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by management to support overall office functions. * Management reserves the right to modify or add to the duties of this position at any time.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Follow all volunteer policies and procedures.
• Ensure personal appearance is clean and professional.
• Ability to lift and move boxes or heavy items.
• Comfortable with standing, bending, and moving around for extended periods.
• Dependable and able to show up for volunteer shifts on time.
• Commitment to volunteering for a consistent period or on agreed-upon days.
• Ability to act collaboratively with other volunteers and staff.
