Volunteers would be reimbursed for their work at $30 a day, provided with an RV pad plus utilities (water, electric, sewer, and laundry facilities); maximum size for an RV is 34’. Volunteers work on average 10 - 15 days a month and would be in rotation to ensure consecutive days off to enjoy the surrounding area(s). The location is at the Beaver Creek Work Center, an employee only facility located 20 minutes from Sedona, 30 minutes from Camp Verde.
Volunteers are required to possess a valid driver’s license and expected to operate government vehicles on improved dirt roads. Work vehicles are equipped with 100-gal water tanks and pumps, and all personal protection equipment and supplies are provided.
The two rental cabins are cleaned once a week and include dusting furniture, mopping floors, changing bed linens, cleaning appliances, counters, tabletops, windows, restrooms, and restocking supplies.
There are five CXT vault toilets dispersed throughout the district that require cleaning twice a week including removing trash and restocking toilet paper.
Collateral tasks are intermittent and may involve taking vehicles in for servicing, grounds keeping, and minor general repairs to buildings and recreation sites. Any specialized skills such as welding, carpentry, etc. are appreciated.
