Description
Take minutes at Phillip Cares general meetings, type minutes, and distribute them in a timely fashion.
Forward to the president for review and approval.
Submit approved minutes for inclusion on the website
Make copies of minutes from the last general meeting for distribution (and approval) for general meetings.
Attend all executive meetings, participate in discussions and decision-making, and take minutes for preparation and distribution to the other officers.
Prepare the sign-in sheet, set out nametags, and arrange the room for the general meetings.
Maintain a complete file of all approved minutes, agendas, and materials distributed at any official Phillip Cares meeting.
Work with the board to manage/oversee the nominating process
Maintain the web page.
Count a rising vote when requested by the presiding officer.
Ensures board members are reminded of meetings each month.
Have on hand for reference at each meeting the following:
The bylaws and standing rules
All agendas and minutes
All copies of treasurer's reports
The approved budget
A list of: commitments
The yearly calendar
Assist officers in using Volunteerspot.com and ensuring the events get posted on the blog.

Description
Phillip Cares Essentials, (PC Essentials), is an animal welfare organization that helps low-income pet owners access essential food, toys, and veterinary care in Mobile and Baldwin County, AL. The program was created in 2024 to fill a critical gap in services for pet owners who are at risk of losing their pets due to financial difficulties. We focus on preventing pet abandonment before it happens by offering practical assistance, making it easier for families to meet their pet’s needs. We believe that by helping people care for their animals, we are also promoting stronger, more responsible pet ownership in the community. PC Essentials provides several key services that help pet owners ensure their pets stay healthy, happy, and well cared for. For food, toys, and veterinary care, approved pet owners receive up to $50 that can be redeemed through one of our partners, or we will order items directly and have the items mailed to the pet owner’s home. Our core services include:
