Are you passionate about botanical medicine and natural wellness? Do you have expertise in herbal chemistry or related sciences? Our non-profit community health center is seeking a dedicated Herbal Chemist volunteer to help advance our natural wellness programs.

Role Impact

As our volunteer Herbal Chemist, you'll play a vital role in developing evidence-based herbal formulations that support our community's health needs. Your contributions will help bridge traditional plant wisdom with modern scientific understanding, creating accessible wellness options for those we serve.

Volunteer Responsibilities

- Analyze botanical materials and document their therapeutic properties

- Develop safe, effective herbal preparations for community wellness programs

- Provide guidance on proper formulation, dosage, and application methods

- Help establish quality control standards for our herbal products

- Educate staff and community members about medicinal plant applications

- Contribute to our growing knowledge base of effective natural remedies

- Collaborate with our wellness team to create holistic health solutions

Ideal Background

- Knowledge of medicinal plants and their chemical constituents

- Background in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacognosy, or related fields

- Experience with herbal extraction techniques and formulation

- Understanding of safety considerations in botanical preparations

- Passion for integrating traditional herbal wisdom with scientific validation

Time Commitment

Flexible hours based on your availability - even 4-6 hours monthly would make a significant difference to our program.
