As a Data Collector at Mentor A Promise, you will play a key role in gathering, recording, and organizing data that supports our mentorship programs and helps drive successful grant applications. You will work closely with the grant writing and program teams to collect meaningful insights from our mentors, mentees, and program activities. This includes compiling data from surveys, interviews, sign-in sheets, photos, and evaluation reports. Your efforts will help us demonstrate impact, maintain transparency, and strengthen our case for funding and program development.
Essential skills & Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks.
- Experience with data collection tools (Google Forms, Excel, etc.) is a plus.
- Comfort with reaching out to team members for follow-ups.
- Interest in social impact, education, or nonprofit work.
- Clear written communication skills.
Commitment:
- Minimum commitment: 6 months.
- Expected workload: 5-6 hours per week, though actual time may vary depending on team workload and ongoing projects.

Description
We partner with family temporary housing sites across New York, educational institutions, and community organizations to create a strong support network for young people experiencing homelessness, helping them overcome challenges and forge their own path to success. We connect students with our mentors for in-person and online programs.
