As a Receptionist Volunteer, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing exceptional customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions. Your primary responsibilities will include answering incoming calls, addressing inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate department. You will also assist with general reception duties while ensuring a warm, welcoming environment for all individuals. One-on-one training will be provided by a staff member to ensure your success in this role.

Main Responsabilities:

  • Greet visitors warmly and assist with inquiries.
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls professionally.
  • Communicate with and message donors maintaining positive relationships.
  • Performing minor administrative duties such as making copies, scanning, sending emails, and organizing documents for efficient record-keeping.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and Teams to schedule and track donation pickups.
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately to support office operations.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by management to support overall office functions.

Management reserves the right to modify or add to the duties of this position at any time.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (multi-lingual is a plus).
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Follow all volunteer policies and procedures.
  • Ensure personal appearance is clean and professional.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows system and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Dependable and able to show up for volunteer shifts on time.
  • Commitment to volunteering for a consistent period or on agreed-upon days.
  • Ability to act collaboratively with other volunteers and staff.
