Joy Card Project is looking for students to start new chapters of the nonprofit organization at their school. You will recieve a suggested list of monthly meeting activities and a to-do list.

The desciption states that this is "virtual oppportunity" however this is an "in-person" committment at your local high school. Please secure a teacher to sponsor your club.

Earn volunteer service hours by starting a high school or college service club.

About Joy Card Project - Make Cards for Seniors

Location:

3400 Palos Verdes Dr North, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274, US

Mission Statement

Joy Card Project's mission is to provide cards of joy to seniors citizens living in senior facilities to fight depression, one Joy Card at a time.

Description

We need caring volunteers to make cheerful cards with uplifting messages for senior citizens. Then volunteers will deliver the cards to a senior citizen facility (ex. assisted living, memory care facility, senior centers, et.) using the Joy Card Project cover sheet and information page printout found on our website at https://sites.google.com/view/joycardprojectnonprofit/volunteer-opportunities. Send photos of the cards and the facility they were delivered to so we can feature you on our website and/or instagram page @joy_card_project .

Individuals can make one card or groups can make a hundred cards. We firmly believe in the transformative power of small gestures, recognizing that even the simplest acts of kindness can make a lasting impact. No kind act is too small. Even ONE card can make all the difference in someone's life.
