Ice Cream 5K Fun Run !

ORGANIZATION: POINTS 2 SUCCESS

Points 2 Success (P2S) aligns with Fun Runs LLC for their annual Ice Cream Run! This event takes place on JUNE 14 at Yeatman’s Cove Park.

Ice Cream Run events benefit local children’s organizations in the city where the event is being held. If you would like to support our youth athletes and participate in the fun, please join our team when you register. A portion of the registration proceeds from our team will be donated to Points 2 Success.

Check-in of race day participants. Duties will include handing out shirts and bib #'s to participants along with answering general questions about the event. This job consist of helping out a parent or child who has become separated. All children will have a wristband on containing their parent's our gaurdian's contact information.

Starting Line

6/14/2025 7:00 a.m. - 6/14/2025 9:00 a.m.

Helps get runners setup at the start line and having them organized. Mehring Way Course Guilde

6/14/2025 7:30 a.m. - 6/14/2025 10:00 a.m.

Will direct runners on the course to ensure they stay on course throughout the entire 1 mile or 5K. All course guides will receive a map of the courses and will be briefed on event day.

Cincinnati Riverfront between Sawyer Point and Paul Brown Stadium

Participants can register for one or more categories.

  1. Kids Run - 1 Mile: Open to children ages 3 to 12 as of race day. Registration includes a T-shirt, ice cream and swag!
  2. Run - 5K: Open to ice cream lovers of all ages. Registration includes a T-shirt, ice cream and swag!
  3. Baby/Toddler Crawl/Walk: Open to children 3 and under as of race day. This will be a crawl or walk depending on your baby’s age and ability. Baby shirts will be available at the event for a small fee.

At the conclusion of the 5K and 10K, there will be an after party at Sawyer Point, where there will be plenty of family-friendly fun. Activities will include face painting, line dancing lessons, games, and much more!

To ensure that a portion of the proceeds from registration are donated back P2S, don’t forget to register under the Points 2 Success team.

    Lost Parent - Duties will involve assisting participants with being reunited with parent
  • Sat Jun 14, 2025 - 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM EST - Spots available: 2
    Starting Line - Volunteers will be responsible for help getting race participants to the proper start line
  • Sat Jun 14, 2025 - 07:30 AM to 10:00 AM EST - Spots available: 6
    Course Guide- Will direct participants on the course to ensure they stay on course

Mission Statement

Points 2 Success is a 501-c non-profit organization in Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio dedicated to helping minority youth athletes and their parents navigate the challenges associated with achieving athletic excellence in underrepresented sports. Our services are focused on providing young athletes with the information and guidance needed to develop into college-level athletes.

Description

One of the goals of the organization is to become a community citizen. Our organization will give back to the community in the form of service initiatives. We will partner with community centers to provide youth with resources and information on local athletic programs, camps, training opportunities, scholarships, and fundraising. We will also initiate programs for area youth, e.g., school supplies, coat and food drives, and other community outreach activities to enrich our local community.
