Work directly with patients and families in your own community as a committed listener providing companionship and support, translation, and/or relief for the caregiver. You may volunteer weekdays, evenings, weekends, etc. Usually, volunteers see patients once a month or every other week. The primary need is patient companionship-simply being there to make a positive difference in the life of another.
