Position OverviewCyber Institute is seeking a Volunteer Outreach and Fundraising Coordinator to support our growing initiatives and help amplify our impact. In this role, you'll build connections, promote our work, and help secure resources that fund our mission. This is an excellent opportunity for early- career professionals, students, or those looking to gain experience in nonprofit development, technology policy, or social impact work.
Key Responsibilities Outreach & Engagement (40%)Help identify and connect with potential partners, donors, sponsors, and community collaborators.
Assist in managing outreach emails, newsletters, and social media campaigns.
Represent Cyber Institute in virtual events or conferences ( as available).
Support the planning of virtual info sessions, awareness events, or online campaigns.
Research potential grants, donor opportunities, and sponsorship leads.
Assist in drafting outreach emails, proposals, and fundraising content.
Help organize small fundraising campaigns or community giving days.
Track and organize donor communications and engagement efforts.
Contribute to stakeholder reports, internal updates, and donor acknowledgments.
Help maintain fundraising records and outreach lists.
Collaborate with team members on creative campaign ideas and impact storytelling.
Passion for technology, cybersecurity, or nonprofit work.
Strong communication skills ( verbal and written).
Comfortable using email, Google Workspace, and basic tools like Canva or social media platforms.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
No prior fundraising experience is required - just enthusiasm and willingness to learn!

Cybersecurity and Policy Experience for resumes and portfolios.
Professional References and LinkedIn endorsements available after 3 months of consistent contribution.
