Pick Up Location: Our Big Kitchen - 8657 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90035
Serving Location: Los Angeles LGBT Center - 1625 N. Schrader Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028
Do you have just one hour per month to help make a huge impact? Food on Foot needs support in picking up 250-300 hot, pre-packaged meals from Our Big Kitchen where they will be transported to the serving location by 12:30 PM and distributed to our unhoused neighbors, low income and at-risk community members. They are already loaded in crates and ready for pick up upon arrival! These meals are critical to the integrity of our program and providing hunger relief - even if it's just for a day! This high impact, low commitment opportunity is just 60-minutes or less of your time. Friends and family members are welcome to join you!

Mission Statement
Food on Foot is a nonprofit dedicated to assisting our unhoused and low-income neighbors in Los Angeles with nutritious meals, clothing, and a fresh start through life-skills training, full-time employment, and permanent housing.
Description
As a volunteer, you'll strengthen our community by distributing food, clothing and essential supplies to 280+ unhoused and low-income neighbors. You will also meet and hear stories from the participants in our Jobs & Housing program. Graduates from this program earn their way off the streets with full-time jobs, fully-furnished apartments, life-skills training, and the confidence needed to make their accomplishments long-lasting.
Kids are welcome! Volunteering with Food on Foot is kid friendly and the perfect way to give back as a family. Children ages 6 and up are welcome. Everyone under 18 must sign up online and be accompanied by a supervising ticketed adult.
