Responsibilities:

  • Capture photos at SVT events such as the Ice Cream Social, Annual Benefit, Beer in the Barn, Annual Meeting, and more
  • Take both candid and posed photographs of participants and speakers, as well as venue shots
  • Upload photos from the event in a timely manner to an SVT Dropbox
Skills Needed:
  • Experience with photography (personal or professional) especially in event or group settings
  • Access to a high-quality camera
  • Comfort taking photos indoors and outdoors
  • Comfort asking participants to pose for photos
Logistics:
  • Training Provided: Orientation with SVT staff regarding event flow and photos needed.
  • Hours: 2-4 hour commitment per event, plus time for submitting images after
  • Duration: Ongoing, based on seasonal and annual events
  • Location: Varies by event, but primarily at Wolbach Farm in Sudbury
  • Reports to: Events & Engagement Manager

Sudbury Valley Trustees is a regional land trust in Massachusetts that conserves land and protects wildlife habitat in the Concord, Assabet, and Sudbury river basin for the benefit of present and future generations.

Description

Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT) is a regional land trust, founded in 1953. SVT is dedicated to conserving land and protecting wildlife habitat in the Concord, Assabet and Sudbury river basin. This is one of the most scenic, culturally rich, and historically significant regions in the United States. Today, approximately 3,100 members support SVT’s work in 36 different towns in the watershed.
SVT is responsible for the protection and care of diverse conservation lands that include wetlands, sensitive habitats, trails and other open spaces including major sanctuaries. SVT reservations are open to the public free of charge, and include trails for walking, bird watching, cross-country skiing and horseback riding.
