Looking for Veterans!
ORGANIZATION: Amedisys Hospice of Uniontown
Please visit the new page to apply.

We are apart of the We Honor Vets program and are currently looking for a Veteran who would love to serve as a volunteer. By becoming a volunteer you would be able to help us pass out veteran coins, assist at memorial services or pinning ceremonies, participate in Veteran's Day and other celebrations, set aside to honor those who served this great country of ours. You may also find yourself sitting in a room of a former veteran sharing stories whether good or bad or providing a listening ear that allows them to realize they are not alone and haven't been forgotten. As a Hospice Veteran volunteer, you will be able to make a difference in a life of one whom you share a certain camaraderie with.

Description
Amedisys Hospice of Uniontown, PA, seeks compassionate people to become volunteers and a part of our team in various locations in Uniontown, PA and surrounding areas. As a hospice volunteer, you would provide companionship and emotional support to our patients and their families. It can be a simple as a visit with a patient just to chat or read to them or simply brighten their day! However, if you have special talents that you'd really like to share, we offer pet therapy, music therapy and art therapy to our patients.
A hospice volunteer is a special person that's made the conscious decision to make a difference in the lives of others. Can you even offer 1-2 hours of your time per month? We're very flexible! Our company takes great pride in the fact that we offer trained volunteers. Are you a Veteran? We're always looking for Vets to connect with our Veteran patients!
If you'd like to volunteer, but not as a direct volunteer, we can always use help in our office with mailings, etc. I'm certain that if you're interested in helping, we can find a way for you to do that. Hospice patients come from all walks of life and backgrounds. We strive to maintain a diverse pool of volunteers who might connect with each of our patients and their caregivers. Join us in providing exceptional end of life care to our patients in Southwest Pennsylvania.
